Supra Scan 577

The New Retina Laser Therapy577 nm Multispot and Subthreshold Laser

True yellow 577nm wavelength

Versatile multispot pattern scanning laser

Subthreshold emission mode

Overview

Subthreshold Mode: Tissue sparing treatment mode avoiding scarring

Composed of a train of extremely short microsecond pulses this subthreshold treatment option is generating more and more interest among retinal physicians.

Ideal 577nm Yellow Wavelength

Compared to the commonly used 532nm green laser, the 577nm wavelength allows improved treatment efficeincy:

  • Use of lower power settings
  • More homogeneous treatment through cataracts
  • Safer treatment adjacent to the macula

In order to address the specific needs of each configuration, Supra Scan is available in 2 versions

An integrated version intended for fixed configurations

  • Dedicated laser adapter integrated into the Quantel Medical Slit Lamp
  • Low intraocular light scattering through partially-opacified media and high transmittance through cataracts
  • Continuously variable parfocal zoom (from 50 to 400µm)

A removable version intended for transportable configurations

  • Dedicated laser adapter integrated into the Quantel Medical Slit Lamp
  • Removable laser adapter compatible with Quantel Medical slit lamp, Haag Streit BM/BQ 900 and clones
  • Continuously variable parfocal zoom (from 50 to 500µm)

Multispot Pattern Scanning Laser

Multispot mode employs short pulse durations of 10 to 20ms along with a variety of customizable grid patterns (squares, triple arcs, circles, marcular grid and single spot).

An accurrate and fine-tuned treatment with a «RESUME» feature.

Ideal 577nm Yellow Wavelength

Indentified as optimal in the ophthalmic clinical literature, the 577nm yellow wavelength is no newcomer to laser photocoagulation devices. Compared to the commonly 532nm green laser, the 577nm wavelength provides :

  1. Better combined absorption by melanin and oxyhemoglobin
  2. Low intraocular light scattering through partially-opacified media and high transmittance through cataracts
  3. Negligible xanthophyll absorption

Multispot Pattern Scanning Laser

Short Pulse Durations: 10-20ms / Customizable Retina Patterns

  • Less heat diffusion to the retina and choroid = Less collateral damage to surrounding tissue
  • Comfortable treatment better tolerated by patients
  • Extremely fast treatment (full PRP in 2 sessions only)

“RESUME” feature

Exclusive feature allowing the user to deliver a pattern in several steps or to resume the pattern delivery where the treatment was paused.
